# Set Card Spending Controls and Limits on Husk

> Configure per-card daily and monthly limits, restrict merchant categories, and freeze cards on demand from the Husk dashboard to keep spend in check.

Husk spending controls let you decide exactly how each card can be used before a single transaction happens. Set daily and monthly limits, restrict merchant categories, or freeze cards instantly to keep company spend aligned with your budgets.

## Configure controls

    Go to **Cards**, select the card you want to configure, and click **Controls**.

  <Step title="Set spending limits">
    Add a daily limit, monthly limit, or both. Transactions exceeding the limit are automatically declined.

  <Step title="Restrict merchant categories">
    Allow only specific merchant category codes (MCCs), for example advertising, travel, or SaaS. Anything outside the allowed list is blocked.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Toggle ATM access">
    Enable or disable ATM withdrawals per card. Most virtual cards keep this off.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save and monitor">
    Save your settings. Any changes apply immediately. Review declined transactions in the card's activity feed.

## Common scenarios
