# Issue Virtual Mastercard Cards Instantly with Husk

> Create virtual Mastercard cards in seconds for subscriptions, vendors, and ad spend. Configure single-use or recurring cards with per-card limits and controls.

Husk virtual cards let you spin up a Mastercard number in seconds for any online purchase, subscription, or vendor. Use single-use cards for one-time payments or recurring cards for ongoing subscriptions, each with its own limit and merchant restrictions.

## Issue a virtual card

    Navigate to **Cards** in the Husk dashboard and click **Issue new card**.

  <Step title="Choose card type">
    Select **Virtual** and pick between single-use (destroyed after first charge) or recurring (reusable for subscriptions).

  <Step title="Set limits and controls">
    Add a nickname (for example, "Google Ads" or "Notion subscription"), daily or monthly limit, and any merchant category restrictions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign to a team member">
    Optionally assign the card to a specific team member so charges appear under their name in reports.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy card details">
    Card number, expiry, and CVV appear immediately. Copy them into the checkout page or save them in your password manager.

## Single-use vs recurring

<Tip>
  Use **single-use cards** for untrusted vendors or trial signups. The card burns after the first successful charge, preventing surprise renewals. Use **recurring cards** for subscriptions where you want ongoing charges tied to one merchant.
