# Capture Receipts in WhatsApp with Husk

> Snap a receipt in WhatsApp, send it to Husk, and forget it. Automatic OCR extraction and transaction matching, no new app for your team to install.

Husk WhatsApp receipts turn the app already on your team's phones into the fastest expense workflow they've ever used. Snap the receipt, send it to Husk's business number, and Husk handles OCR extraction, categorization, and matching to the right transaction automatically.

## Set up WhatsApp receipts

  <Step title="Link your WhatsApp number">
    In the Husk dashboard, go to **Settings** > **WhatsApp** and add the mobile number for each team member.

  <Step title="Save Husk's contact">
    Save the Husk business number that appears in the setup screen. Your team members do the same.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send a test receipt">
    Snap a photo of any receipt and send it to Husk on WhatsApp. You should see a confirmation reply within seconds.

  <Step title="Review in the dashboard">
    Open the **Expenses** tab. The receipt appears with extracted amount, merchant, and date, ready to match to a transaction.

## Supported formats

<Tip>
  Husk accepts photos (JPG, PNG, HEIC), PDF invoices, and forwarded emails. Multi-page PDFs work too. If a scan is blurry or partial, Husk asks you to resend rather than guessing values.

* **Business lunch**: snap the receipt at the table, done before you leave
* **Vendor invoice via email**: forward the email to Husk WhatsApp, Husk extracts the PDF attachment
* **Multi-item receipts**: Husk splits line items if requested, useful for reimbursables
