Husk troubleshooting covers the issues teams hit most often and how to resolve them without contacting support. If your problem is not listed here, message the team from the dashboard chat or check the FAQ.
Common causes and fixes:
  • Spending limit reached: check the card’s daily or monthly limit in Cards > select card > Controls.
  • Merchant category restricted: the card may be limited to specific MCCs. Review restrictions and expand if the merchant is legitimate.
  • 3D Secure failed: the cardholder needs the Husk app installed with push notifications enabled to approve online payments. See 3D Secure.
  • Card frozen: check whether the card is in a frozen state and unfreeze if needed.
  • Insufficient balance: for debit cards, top up the connected account.
  • Wait 24 hours; the transaction may not have settled yet.
  • Confirm the merchant name and amount extracted from OCR are correct. Edit if OCR misread the receipt.
  • Manually attach the receipt from the Expenses view if auto-matching does not find a candidate.
  • If the transaction was paid outside Husk (personal card, bank transfer from an unconnected account), it will not match automatically.
PSD2 rules require bank connections to be reauthenticated every 90 days.
  • Go to Settings > Bank Accounts and click Reconnect on the expired account.
  • Complete authentication in your bank’s portal.
  • Historical data stays intact; new transactions resume syncing within minutes.
  • Confirm the invite was accepted and the account is active under Settings > Team.
  • Ask the member to reset their password from the sign-in page.
  • Check that their email address matches the one used for the invite.
  • If they still cannot sign in, revoke and resend the invite.
  • Check the Gmail or Outlook integration is still connected under Settings > Integrations.
  • Confirm the vendor sends invoices to the linked inbox.
  • Forward the missing invoice to Husk WhatsApp or drag-and-drop the PDF into Expenses.
  • For recurring vendors, set up a rule so future invoices are extracted automatically.
  • Confirm your WhatsApp number is linked in Settings > WhatsApp.
  • Save Husk’s business number as a contact so messages are not filtered as spam.
  • Retry sending; check the dashboard Expenses view within 30 seconds.
