Husk Slack integration brings financial notifications into the place your team already works. When a card is used, a receipt is missing, or an approval is needed, Husk posts a message to the Slack channel you choose. This page shows you how to install the app and configure which events trigger notifications.

Install the Husk Slack app

Open Integrations

In Husk, navigate to Settings > Integrations and select Slack.

Add to Slack

Click Add to Slack and choose your workspace from the OAuth prompt.

Authorize permissions

Grant Husk permission to post messages and send direct messages. Husk does not read channel history or private conversations.

Select a notification channel

Choose the public or private channel where spend alerts and approvals should appear. You can also enable direct messages for individual users.

Configure events

Toggle which events trigger Slack messages. Common choices include transaction alerts, approval requests, and receipt reminders.

Notification types

Husk posts a summary each time a corporate card is used, including merchant, amount, and card holder name. Large or unusual transactions are flagged with a warning icon.
When a team member submits an expense or requests a spending limit increase, the approver receives a direct message with Approve and Decline buttons.
If a transaction lacks a matched receipt after a configurable delay, Husk reminds the card holder via direct message to upload or forward the receipt.
Husk warns channel admins when a team or card approaches its configured spending limit, so you can adjust controls before a decline.

Tips for effective use

  • Route high-value transaction alerts to a dedicated finance channel so they do not get lost in general chat.
  • Set receipt reminder delays based on your company policy, for example 24 hours for travel expenses and 7 days for software subscriptions.
  • Use approval request direct messages for managers who need to act quickly while traveling.
You can disconnect or reconfigure the Slack integration at any time from Settings > Integrations > Slack.
